Sunday Services
As a Christian church, our services at St. Mary’s Church, Cholsey seek to help us to respond to God’s love in worship. The various styles of service at the church encourage worshipers to encounter God through praise and prayer, word and sacrament, silence and music. We feel privileged to gather in a beautiful ancient building, whose walls have echoed with God’s praise for over a thousand years.

Why worship?
Through worship, we seek to meet with God our Creator, Jesus who is our Saviour, and the Holy Spirit who comes to pour God’s love into our hearts – helping us to grow more like Jesus. While each of us can do that on our own wherever we are, we believe that Christ calls us to be part of His community – and it is as a community of Christians that we can discover God’s love.
Main Sunday Service – 10.30am
The main service every Sunday at Cholsey is at 10.30am. (Please arrive at 10.15am) apart from second and occasional 5th Sundays - please see below

Children & Youth
The kids' club meets each 1st and 4th Sunday morning during the main service. After all joining together for the first part of the church service, the children can go to their special group.
Parents who wish to attend are welcome. We aim to have lots of fun and learn about God. We look forward to welcoming you and your children to come and join in. (Kids' Club does not normally meet on the 2nd Sunday in the month when there is an all-age Family Service and we all worship together. It also doesn't run on the 3rd Sunday in the month when Forest Church takes place at the Laurence Hall).
St. Mary's Church is an all-age church community where the presence of children and young people is cherished. So if you have young children of any age you will be welcomed with open arms.
Children always attend the begining and end of our main morning service and are welcome to stay for the whole service but we hold a number of activities for children of different age groups during services.
There is a wide range of events and activities specifically aimed at different age-groups, so that children can have fun and learn about the Christian faith with others of their own age; and there are also times, such as the monthly All age worship, when everyone, from 0 - 100, can benefit from sharing in worship and fellowship together.
Young people are also encouraged to become involved in the life of the church in all sorts of ways appropriate to their own age, interests and gifts.
Information on church groups can be found under Sundays or Community. This includes Little Fishes, Kids club, Forest Church, Youth Group and Cholsey Boys Brigade.

The Crèche
Each Sunday when there is no family service the Crèche meets. From babies to 4-year olds we meet together during the service for our own time of fellowship. We spend time together, getting to know each other, reading a bible story, colouring, singing songs, dancing and laughing. We ask that parents come with their children....well, you don't want to miss out on all the fun, do you?
This group is not running at the moment.
