Agatha Christie
The church's most famous member was the crime-writer Agatha Christie, who was a regular attender at St Mary's for the 40 or so years she lived in the parish until she died in 1976. She is buried with her husband, the archaeologist Sir Max Mallowan. Her grave is located in the north west corner of the churchyard. You can follow the local Agatha Christie trail by clicking here. Or if you would like to read more about her Christian upbringing see the All Saints Torre, Torbay web site here.
